This thesis uses Burton's own writings on India, as well as books and material written about Burton and research materials retrieved from the British and Huntington Libraries, to reveal.Objectives: This essay revisits the history of customs using Ethnobotany to determine if the worldview here has a restricted local character or was taken from other geographical areas, mainly Europe.
